BULGARIAN MUSIC AND DANCE LECTURE SERIES – Commemorating traditional rites and celebrations

This Series is an initiative of Bulgarian Cultural and Heritage Center of Seattle (BCHCS), intended to extend its Bulgarian cultural activities into the greater Seattle area. The Series will by hosted by the University of Washington Slavic Department.

Topics:

  • January 30: Men’s Winter Dance Practices –  5:00 – 6:00 pm
  • February 26: Carnival Practices –  5:30 – 6:30 pm
  • April (date to be announced): Women’s Spring Dance Practices
  • June 5: Nestinari Dance (Dance on the glowing embers)

Lectures are held at the Simpson Center for the Humanities, Seminar Room, Communications 202, Communications Building on the UW campus, second floor
